A Really Good Library App
Im just interested in cataloging my books (at this point, at least). As a personal quirk, I like my books sorted by Library of Congress call numbers (Im one of those for whom PR6019.O9 U4 holds some meaning). Im happy to say that Booxter was able to appropriately sort my books. My books are all over the place and the ability to quickly mark in which location a given book resides was also helpful. Booxter was quick at downloading information about books, including grabbing LC calls, so I didnt have to tediously paste them in from my old list.
It would be perfect if the iSIght scanning worked a little better. Typically, I couldnt grab the ISBN from the barcode and had to type them in by hand. Another minor problem was that it didnt seem to like 13-digit ISBNs, although 10-digit ones worked fine. Entry could have been smoother.
Synchronization with my iPhone was smooth, once I realized that changes had to be saved before they would sync. All in all, a solid app that will make figuring out what books you have (and where youve shelved them) easier.
